"Our years at University of Maine at Augusta were great because we had each other for support when times were tough and resources scarce. One of Rick's requests of me before he passed away was that he'd like to know that some poor "GI's" had a few bucks extra in their pockets to afford a decent meal on occasion." In order for us to establish a permanent endowment in his name, we need a minimum of $3,000. From the base amount, the University will distribute the interest income on an annual basis to a deserving student who fits the criteria. I am in hopes that we can surpass the minimum and would appreciate it if you would forward this to friends and relatives that may want to contribute. We have raised $1,000 to date.
